Itinerary: 6 Day Tour in Morocco From Casablanca

Day 1Arrival in Casablanca – Discover the Economic Hub of Morocco

Your Morocco trip package begins in Casablanca, the economic heart and largest city of Morocco. Upon arrival, we’ll pick you up from the airport, port, or your accommodation. Start your journey with a visit to the iconic Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco, perched on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Afterward, enjoy free time for lunch and explore the vibrant Corniche of Casablanca, a picturesque waterfront area. Spend the night in a comfortable hotel, preparing for the adventures ahead.

Day 2Casablanca to Fes – Roman Ruins of Volubilis and Imperial Meknes

After breakfast, depart from Casablanca to explore the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through well-preserved mosaics, ancient pillars, and archways that tell the story of Morocco’s rich history.

Next, head to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Visit landmarks like Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani Basin, the Royal Stables, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Later, continue to Fes, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional Riad.

Day 3Guided Tour of Fes – The Cultural and Spiritual Capital

Dedicate the day to exploring Fes, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual center. With a local guide, visit the Royal Palace Gate, the UNESCO-listed Fes Medina, and the famous Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud). Stroll through the labyrinthine streets to discover landmarks like Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine Fountain, and the vibrant tanneries.

Don’t miss the Quaraouin University, the oldest university in the world, and the Jewish Quarter (Mellah). End the day with a panoramic view of Fes from an ancient fortress before returning to your Riad.

Day 4Fes to Merzouga Sahara – Through Ifrane, Cedars Forest, and Ziz Valley

After breakfast, journey south to the Sahara Desert. Stop in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” for its alpine-style architecture and cool climate. Continue to the Cedars Forest, home to Barbary macaques, and enjoy a peaceful stroll.

Pass through Midelt for lunch, then travel through the Ziz Valley, with stops for breathtaking panoramic views. Arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll switch to camels for a magical ride into the Sahara Desert. Watch the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in a desert camp, enjoying Berber music, a campfire, and a sky full of stars.

Day 5Merzouga Sahara to Dades Valley – Via Rissani, Erfoud, and Todra Gorges

Wake up early to witness a mesmerizing desert sunrise before returning to Merzouga by camel. Your driver will take you to Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet, to explore its lively souk.

Continue to Erfoud, famous for its fossilized marble workshops, and then head to the stunning Todra Gorges, a paradise for rock climbers and nature lovers. After lunch, drive through the Dades Valley, stopping at the “monkey fingers” rock formation for photos. Spend the night in a hotel in the Dades Valley.

Day 6Dades Valley to Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou and the High Atlas Mountains

On the final day of your Morocco holiday, visit the Rose Valley in Kalaa Magouna (especially stunning during the annual Rose Festival in May). Pass through the Skoura Palm Groves and stop in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco,” to visit its famous film studios.

Next, explore the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a fortified village featured in movies like Gladiator and The Mummy. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass, with stops for photos and lunch. Arrive in Marrakech, where your 6-day Morocco trip package concludes with a transfer to the airport or your accommodation.
