    Morocco Itinerary: Marrakech Desert Tour

    Day 1Arrival in Marrakech

    The 10-day Morocco tour starts with a pick-up from the airport in Marrakech. Then we will have a small tour of the city before we transfer you to your accommodation. Overnight Stay in a Riad. You will have free time to walk in Marrakech Medina to see Jamaa El Fna Square at night.

    Day 2Marrakech – Essaouira

    After breakfast, we drive west to Essaouira city. On the way, we will make stops to see the Argan trees and goats and for panoramic views. We reach Essaouira city, formerly Mogador, one of the important coastal cities in Morocco. In which we visit the fishing port, the ancient ramparts with cannons, and the old medina. Overnight stay in Essaouira

    Day 3Essaouira – Guided Sightseeing Tour in Marrakech

    After breakfast, we return to Marrakech, where we will explore the highlights of Marrakech with a local guide. The city is considered one of the imperial cities in Morocco. The visit includes the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the Ben Youssef Quranic mosque. And stroll in the largest traditional souk in Morocco. Free time for lunch near Jemaa El-Fna Square Later on, you visit the Koutoubia mosque, the largest in Marrakech, and Majorelle Garden. Finally, transfer to your accommodation. Feel free to wander in Jemaa El-Fna Square on your own

    Day 4Marrakech, High Atlas Mountains, Telouat Kasbah, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, and Ouarzazate

    After breakfast, we pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech early in the morning. Then drive through the fascinating High Atlas mountains and Tizi-N-Tichka pass. Stops will be made for panoramic views of the breathtaking landscapes. Then we visit the Kasbah of Telouat.

    After that, we continue to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A fortified village is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in many movies, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, etc. And also TV series, including Game of Thrones. Then we head to “The Gate of the Desert,” Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel

    Day 5Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud -Merzouga Sahara – overnight in a luxury camp

    After breakfast, we will visit the Atlas Studio, where famous movies were shot. And also visit Taourirt Kasbah in Ourzazate. Then drive southeast to visit Amridil Kasbah, surrounded by palm groves in Skoura. Then continue to Rose Valley. A Rose Festival is held annually in May, where the locals offer their rose products. Then, as we drive through the Dades Valley, we stop to enjoy the spectacular landscape of the Dades gorges. Then we continue to Todra Gorges, where the course of the Todra River has carved out a grand red cliff-sided canyon through the mountains. Free time for lunch. Feel free to wander in the gorges and appreciate the beauty of the landscape.

    In the afternoon, we reach the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Where you switch to camels and cross the sandy desert. A stop will be made for you to enjoy the magical sunset on top of a high dune. Then continue to the desert camp. Where you can enjoy the Berber drum music while dancing around the campfire under the vast open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight in the camp

    Day 6Explore Merzouga Desert with a visit to a nomad family

    Wake up early in the morning is a must-do to contemplate the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert—free time for breakfast. Then you return on camels to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We dedicate the day to exploring the region of Merzouga. The area has so many incredible sites, from sandy dunes, mines, and fossil areas to fabulous oases, which are the ideal places for so many outdoor activities

    Firstly, we start our journey in Merzouga by driving off-road to visit an ancient lead mine. Then we visit the nomads in their handmade, woven tent. Thus, we are going to learn how they live while drinking Berber tea. Our next destination is Khamlia village, where you will enjoy the Gnaoua music and dancing performances. Its inhabitants are from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. After that, you are going to have free time for lunch in a restaurant. Later on, we take a stroll in a palm tree grove.     Day 7Merzouga Dunes – Erfoud – Midelt – cedars forest – Ifrane – Fes

    Day 7Fes guided Sightseeing tour

    On this day of our tour from Marrakech, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Fes after breakfast to explore the city of Fes. Besides being the cultural and religious center of Morocco, the city is considered one of the imperial cities.

    We start the day by visiting the Royal Palace gate. Then the well-preserved medieval Medina is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Blue Gate, or Bab Boujloud, is the entrance of the old Medina. You will enter the Medina with a local guide. later, we are going to visit The Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, and the tanneries Finally, the Quaraouin mosque and university are the oldest universities in the world. After that, we leave Medina to visit the Jewish quarter, “the Mellah.” Then we drive to an ancient fortress for panoramic views of the Medina and the city of Fes. Then return to your riad.

    Day 8Fes – Meknes – Volubilis ruins – Chefchaouen
