Your Marrakech Desert Tour begins with a pickup at 8:00 AM. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping at Berber villages for panoramic views. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ait Benhaddou, a famous kasbah featured in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Explore Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” before heading to the scenic Dades Valley for an overnight stay.
Day two takes you to the stunning Todra Gorges, where you’ll walk through towering canyons and lush oases. Continue to Erfoud, known for its fossil factories, before reaching Merzouga. Here, embark on a camel trek into the Sahara Desert. Enjoy a magical sunset, a traditional dinner under the stars, and Berber music around the campfire. Spend the night in a luxury desert camp.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, explore the Merzouga region by 4WD. Visit Khamlia Village for Gnawa music, discover the fossil-rich area of M’fis, and meet nomadic Berber families. Return to Merzouga for an overnight stay in a hotel.
On the final day, travel to Fes via the lush Ziz Valley and Midelt, the “city of apples.” Stop at the Cedar Forest of Azrou to see wild monkeys, then pass through Ifrane, the “Moroccan Switzerland.” Arrive in Fes by evening, concluding your Marrakech Desert Tour.
