8 day Morocco tour from Agadir is your adventure to explore the Desert of Morocco. First, you will explore Talouine, Taznakht, Erg Chegaga, and the Anti-Atlas Mountains on this tour. Itinerary

Day 1Agadir – Taliouine – Foum Zguid – Erg Chigaga

The first day of the 8-day Morocco tour from Agadir begins when you are picked up from your Agadir hotel. Then on to Taliouine, often known as the capital of Safran. Following, we will travel for a few more hours before stopping for lunch at Taznakht. Then, you will continue your journey through Foum Zguid, travel through a gravel desert, and visit a fossil site. To reach the enormous sandy dunes of Erg Chigaga, where you will encounter nomads with camel herds today, you will also travel by Lac Iriki, a dried-up lake in a solid white desert environment shimmering in the sun.

You will also appreciate the desert’s rugged beauty, boundless immensity, and tranquility. It is also an experience of the constant shift of light due to the sun’s position, which transforms this ancient environment into a surreal dreamscape. You will also enjoy a gorgeous sunset from atop a camel. Evening meals and nights spent in 

Day 2Erg Chigaga – Tamgroute – Zagora Nkob

On the second day of our 8-day Morocco Desert tour from Agadir, you will drive north to Nkob. First, our journey will start after we finish our breakfast in the Erg Chigaga Desert. Then, you leave the camp and pass by many small kabahs and villages, including the famous village of Tamegroute in Draa Valley, which was also a hub for learning and a religious center.

After we visit Tamegroute village, you will go further to Zagora, where we will stop for a lunch break. Following, we will drive along the Daraa Valley to Nkob village, where we will spend the second night of our 8-day trip from Agadir.

Day 3Nkob – Anti Atlas Mountains – Todra Canyon

After we finish our breakfast in our hotel in Nkob, we will start day 3 of our 8-day tour from Agadir. On this day, we will drive to Todra Canyon, crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains through the Tizi Tazerzzite road. It is going to be a chance to enjoy the beauty of the Moroccan landscape in the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Following, we will pass by Dades Valley, where we will stop for lunch. Following this, we will resume our desert trip to Todra.

By the time we arrive, we will have a walk along the Todra Canyon, and we will also take a wonderful picture of an oasis of palm trees in the gorge. At the end, we head to our accommodation, where we will stay for the night.

Day 4 Dades Canyon – Erfod – Rissani – Sahara Desert

On this day, you will travel from Todra Canyon to the Merzouga Desert. First, after you finish your breakfast, you will leave your accommodation in Todra Canyon and drive in the direction of Erfod, On the way, you will stop to see one of the oldest irrigation systems in Morocco, which dates back to the 12th century. Khatarat is the first main system that people in the desert area use to supply water to their farms. Following, you will resume the fourth day of our 8-day tour from Agadir to the Town of Fossils, Erfod, passing by other Berber communities.

On your arrival in Erfod, you will have time to visit one of the museums of fossils in the area, and we will also have a break for lunch. Later on, you will drive to Rissani City, which was the capital of Tafilate in the last century. Rissani City Style has an important commercial hub in the area. Finally, after we stroll the local souk of Rissani, we will drive to the Sahara Desert, where you will spend the third night of your Morocco Desert trip from Agadir

Day 5Explore Merzouga Desert & Nomads Life

After a delicious breakfast at your Riad, you will begin your exploration of the desert of Merzouga at approximately 10:00 AM. Our SUV will allow you to reach the Berber Nomads living behind the dunes, where you will learn about the Berber way of life and how they have managed to survive amid nothing! And much more regarding their rich culture. You will also visit the small deserted village of Mefis, listen to Gnawa music in the village of Khamlia, and visit the museum of cars.

Evening camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes to your camp in the desert. Upon arrival, you can sandboard while watching the sunset. Spend the night in the Berber camp, where the staff will serve you dinner and play drums around the campfire. Admire the night sky, and that marks the end of day 5 of our 8-day tour from Agadir.

Day 6Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Cedar Forest – Fes

Day 6 of our 8 day Morocco tour from Agadir begins with a beautiful sunrise. After you wake up and watch the sunrise from the midst of the Sahara, you will have a delicious breakfast at the desert camp. Either ride camels or drive a jeep back to the hotel. Today’s journey will take us from the desert to Fes. On the way to Fes, which is the second-largest city in Morocco after Casablanca, you will see numerous cities and amazing sights. The first stop will be in the Valley of Zize; after that, you will continue driving and pass through Errachidia.

The next stop will be Midelt, a little city in the center of the Altas, where you will eat lunch and relax a bit. From Midlet, you will continue your drive into the middle Altas and travel through the cedar forest, where you may encounter monkeys along the road and have the opportunity to take photographs of them. The last stop for this day trip will be Ifran, often known as the southwestern region of Morocco. We will then drive to Fes. Finally, you will check in to your accommodation in Fes to relax.

Day 7Explore Fes Medina with a Local Guide

After breakfast at your Fes accommodations, your Morocco tour continues. This day of your travels in Morocco will be devoted to a guided tour of Fes’s most popular sights. The city is recognized as one of the imperial cities in addition to being the political, social, and cultural center of Morocco. We begin the day by going to the Royal Palace’s main entrance. Then there is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Medina, a magnificently maintained medieval city.

The Blue Gate, or Bab Boujloud, the entryway to the old Medina, will be visited. You will enter the Medina to view the tanneries, Medrasa Bouanania, and Najjarine Fountain. The world’s oldest university is located in the Quaraouin mosque. Then, you leave the Medina to explore the Jewish quarter, commonly known as “the Mellah.” In the afternoon, we go to an ancient fortress for a panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fes. Eventually, you must return to your Riad.

Day 8Fes – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes Airport

The full-day trip from Fes to Meknes and Volubilis begins at 07:30-08:00 AM with your driver, who will pick you up from your Fes accommodation. You will begin your journey by leaving Fes to reach the Roman ruins of Volubilis, where you will explore the remains of the 2,000-year-old complex.

Later, you will be transferred to the Imperial City of Meknes, where we will have lunch in a local restaurant near the square of El Hedim. This city holds exquisite architectural treasures. After lunch, you will have a stroll through El Hedim Square and the Meknes Medina. You will see the city’s most notable sites, including the Mausoleum Moulay Ismail, Sahrij Souani, and Bab El Mansour, the largest gate in the City. Morocco Desert Tour from Agadir concludes with a transfer to the airport in Fes and the end of you Morocco Sahara journey.

Thanks to Mohamed and Said we discovered the south of Morocco, from Agadir, Erg Chigaga, Ouarzazate, Merzouga to Fes. Excellent driver, efficient, and always safe.
