From Tangier to Tangier
Depart from Tangier at 8 am
Your Morocco holiday begins as our driver/guide picks you up from Tangier’s airport or port. After a warm welcome, check into your hotel to rest and refresh. In the afternoon, embark on a guided tour of Tangier, exploring its vibrant medina, historic Kasbah, and the stunning Cape Spartel. End your day with a relaxing evening by the Mediterranean Sea.
After breakfast, depart for the enchanting “Blue City” of Chefchaouen. Along the way, stop in Tetouan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to admire its Andalusian influence. Arrive in Chefchaouen and check into your hotel. Spend the afternoon wandering through the blue-painted streets, visiting the bustling market square, and soaking in the serene atmosphere of this picturesque town.
Today, journey to Fes, Morocco’s cultural heart. En route, visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, where you’ll explore well-preserved mosaics and historic landmarks. Continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, and discover its grand Bab Mansour gate, Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, and vibrant medina. Arrive in Fes in the evening for an overnight stay.
Dive into the rich history of Fes with a full-day guided tour. Explore the UNESCO-listed Fes el-Bali medina, visit the iconic Bou Inania Madrasa, and marvel at the intricate architecture of the Al-Attarine Madrasa. Discover the vibrant tanneries, the Mellah (Jewish Quarter), and the Royal Palace. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch in the medina before continuing your exploration. End your day with a relaxing evening at your riad.
Depart Fes early and head towards the Sahara Desert. Pass through the charming town of Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland,” and stop at the Cedar Forest to see Barbary monkeys. Continue through the Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves, and arrive in Merzouga. In the evening, embark on a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you’ll spend the night in a luxury desert camp under the stars.
Wake up to a breathtaking desert sunrise and enjoy breakfast at the camp. Today, explore the Sahara Desert by 4×4, visiting nomadic settlements, the Khamlia Village (known for its Gnawa music), and the stunning oases of Merzouga. Learn about the Berber way of life and enjoy a traditional lunch in the desert. Return to your desert camp for another magical night in the dunes.
After breakfast, leave Merzouga and visit Rissani, home to one of Morocco’s oldest souks. Continue through the Ziz Valley, passing Berber villages and lush palm groves. Arrive at Todra Gorge, a dramatic canyon perfect for hiking and photography. End your day in the scenic Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night in a cozy hotel.
Travel through the Valley of Roses and Skoura Oasis, stopping to admire the stunning landscapes. Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a famous filming location for movies like Gladiator. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic views of valleys and Berber villages. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening and check into your riad.
Take a day trip to the coastal town of Essaouira, known for its historic medina, vibrant fishing port, and laid-back atmosphere. Explore the Skala Fortress, stroll along the beach, and enjoy fresh seafood for lunch. Return to Marrakech in the evening for an overnight stay.
Discover the highlights of Marrakech with a local guide. Visit the Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace, and the Saadian Tombs. Depart Marrakech and head to Casablanca, where you’ll visit the stunning Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. Continue to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, and explore the Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the charming Oudaya Kasbah. Spend the night in Rabat.
On the final day of your Morocco holiday, travel back to Tangier via the coastal town of Assilah, known for its artistic murals and relaxed vibe. Arrive in Tangier and transfer to the airport or ferry terminal for your departure.
