Our 5-Day Morocco Tour from Fes to Marrakech starts from your Riad in Fes. First, you drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains to reach Ifrane City, where you can have a 15-minute stop and maybe have a coffee. Following, we will leave for the Cedar Forest, which is home to the Barbary Apes.
Your journey from Fes to Marrakech continues, and you will drive through Middelt City and Zize Valley, which is one of the long valleys of palm trees in Morocco. By the time you arrive at Merzouga Desert, your driver will drop you off at your hotel by the sandy dunes of the Sahara. dinner and breakfast included.
The second day of your desert trip from Fes to Marrakech is dedicated to exploring the Erg Chabi Desert. First, you drive to Khamlia Village, which is a small town. Here you will listen to local folklore played by black people who were originally slaves from sub-Saharan countries like Sudan and Nigeria.
Following, you will drive to explore the mining area of Mifis. The latter was a place where people used to mine for lead. After, you will drive to visit some of the nomad families and sandy dunes of the Merzouga Desert. It is going to be a chance for a nomadic life.
By the evening, you will drive to the stop from where you will start your camel ride. Your camel ride is going to last around an hour, which includes a stop to enjoy the sunrise before heading to your desert camp, where you will stay for the second night of your Morocco desert tour from Fes to Marrakech. On this day of your 5-day Morocco Desert trip from Fes to Marrakech, it is worth getting up early in the morning to watch the sunrise near the camp. After you have breakfast at the camp, you can ride the camels or transfer by 4WD back to the original start location, where you will meet your driver.
Following, you will drive to visit Rissani town, which is home to one of the oldest souks in Morocco. Then, we’ll pass through Erfoud City, which is home to many fossil factories. It’s also going to be a chance to see and visit one of those places. After, you will drive through many small villages, such as Touroug, Tinjdad, and Tinghir, where we’ll stop to explore the Valley and Canyon of Todra.
Finally, we will leave Todra Canyon for Dades Valley, where we will stay in Riad or a hotel with dinner and breakfast.
On this day of your trip from Fes, we will explore Dades Valley and then head to Rose Valley. The latter is famous and known for growing Damasca rose in Morocco. You will. have a chance to stop at one of the rose cooperatives to see the cosmetic products of the roses.
You continue your journey through the road of a thousand kasbahs. Following, you will drive to Skoura, where we’ll visit the well-preserved Kasbah of Ameridil. After, we have a lunch break and then travel to Ouarzazate, also known as “Africa’s Hollywood” because of its gorgeous landscapes that have attracted many filmmakers. Today, we will explore the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of the oldest kasbahs built in the 11th century. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, and it is considered a magnificent example of Moroccan earthen clay construction.
After visiting the Kasbah, we will begin our journey over the windy roads of the High Atlas, stopping along the way to enjoy the stunning panoramic views and for lunch or a drink before continuing to Marrakech.
